Riyad Karim Mahrez is a professional football player who has been playing for Manchester City since 2018 and also the Algerian National team since 2014. The Algerian footballer started his career with AAS Sarcelles a French football club as a youth player. In 2009, he played professionally with Quimper for a single season. He was signed by English team Leicester City in 2014 and joined Manchester City in 2018.

He was named the Algerian Footballer of the Year in both 2015 and 2016. He was also named the Leicester City Player of the Year in 2015 and El Heddaf Arab Footballer of the Year in 2016.
He was part of the Leicester City team that won their first-ever English Premier league title in the 2015/2016 season. In the 2018/2019 season he helped Manchester City lift the English Premier League title.
In 2019, he won the African Cup of Nations with Algeria.
