About Richard Winters
Richard Winters served in the U.S. military from 1941 to 1952. He’s widely known for his heroic roles during the Second World War where he served as the commander of the “Easy Company of the 2nd Battalion”.
During the war, he fought across the Western Front, which comprised countries such as France, Germany, and Belgium. Winters ended his service in the military as a Major and was also a key figure during the Korean War in the 1950s.

He’s the son of Edith and Richard Winters. He had two children with his wife called Ethel, whom he married in 1948.
Honors
During his time in service, he received lots of awards which include “American Defense Service Medal”, “Combat Infantryman Badge”, and “World War II Victory Medal”.
Death
He died in 2011 after battling Parkinson's disease.
