Personal Life
He was married seven times to five different women and had seven children. His final marriage was to Jennifer Lee in 2001. The couple remained married until his death in 2005.
Awards
He won an Emmy Award in 1973 and five Grammy Awards between 1974 and 1982. He was awarded the first-ever Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in 1998.
