Award-winning actor Richard Scott Harmon, is best recognized for playing the character of John Murphy in the post-apocalyptic series titled “The 100”. He made his professional acting debut in the series titled “Jeremiah” and has since starred in series such as “Continuum”, “Van Helsing” and “The Haunting Hour: The Series”. He has also starred in movies such as “If I Had Wings”, “The Age of Adaline” and “I Still See You”.

He is the son of producer, Cynde Harmon and Allan Harmon, who worked as a director. He has a sister called Jessica Harmon who is also an actress; she also starred in “The 100”.

He received the ‘Leo Award’ for “Best Performance in a Youth or Children's Program or Series” in 2011. In 2013 he earned the award for “Best Supporting Performance by a Male in a Dramatic Series” also at the ‘Leo Awards’. In 2015 he was nominated in the category for “Best Performance in a Children's or Youth Program or Series” at the ‘Canadian Screen Awards, CA’.
