Personal Life
He was given the name Ray Erskine Parker Jr when his parents had him. He was birthed by Ray Parker Snr and Venolia Parker. They had two children apart from him. In Angel Elementary School, his teacher in the music department urged him to give music a shot. He was just a little boy then. He continued his education at Cass Technical High School then went off to Northwestern High School. He also schooled at Lawrence Institute of Technology. In 1992, he lost his father to Cancer and the following year, lost his mother to Alzheimers. He got married to Elaine who had four sons.
Career
In 1982, he released “The Other Woman” being his first solo album then went on to release “Sex and the Single Man”, “After Dark” and “I’m Free”.
Achievement
He became a recipient of a Hollywood Walk of Fame star for his musical contribution to the world.
