Randy Jackson is perhaps most known for his role as a panel judge in the hit singing competition television series American Idol, where he served for twelve seasons as a judge and one season as an in-house mentor. Jackson is also the producer of the competition television series America’s Best Dance Crew, which produced one of America’s most successful dance crews: the JabbaWockeeZ.

Jackson is a well-known session musician, touring or playing (mostly on bass guitar) alongside many popular artists such as Jon Bon Jovi, Bob Dylan, Richard Marx, Celion Dion, and even Madonna. Most notable is Jackson’s collaboration with Mariah Carey, whom he has worked with since the beginning of the singer’s career.
