Rajinikanth is an iconic Indian film actor and media personality known for starring in such films as Shankar Salim Simon, Kiladi Kittu, Andha Kanoon and Nallavanuku Nallavan. He married Latha Rangchari in 1981. He and Latha have two daughters, Aishwarya and Soundarya.
Awards
For his decades of contribution to the arts, he was honored by the Government of India with the Padma Bhushan in 2000. In 2016, he was given the Padma Vibhushan, which is the second-highest civilian award of the Republic of India.
