Rajesh Khanna was a Bollywood actor and politician who appeared in numerous critically acclaimed and commercially successful films such as Karm, Bundal Baaz, Naukri, Amar Deep, Dhanwan, Naya Kadam and Anokha Rishta. Beyond acting, he was a successful politician who served as an MP in the Indian Parliament from 1991 to 1996.
Family Life
He married actress Dimple Kapadia in 1973. The marriage produced two daughters: Twinkle and Rinkle Khanna. He remained married to Dimple until his death in 2012.
Achievements
He was the highest paid actor in India from 1970 to 1987. In 2005, he was honored with the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2013, he was posthumously honored with India's third highest civilian award, the Padma Bhushan.
