Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother (Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon) was the wife of Prince Albert, Duke of York (King George VI) and the mother of Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret. She was named The Queen Mother, so that she would not be confused with her daughter. She was the last Empress of India.

Her Personal Life

She was married to King George VI and they had 2 daughters. He had proposed to her 3 times, before she finally accepted! She died at the age of 102.
