Dean's professional debut was in 1917 in Lois Weber's, "Even As You and I". She also acted in "Somebody Lied" and "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle '' in the same year, however, the movie that shot her into the limelight was the American crime-drama film, "The Gray Ghost" in 1917. This propelled her to appear in many popular films such as "Wild Honey" in 1922, the American silent drama film, "A Cafe in Cairo" in 1924, and "Birds of Prey" in 1927, which starred Priscilla Dean, Oliver Hardy, and Stan Laurel.
Personal Life
The actress first married Wheeler Oakman from 1920 to 1926 but divorced and married Leslie P. Arnold from 1928 to 1961.
