Prince Christian is a Danish prince who became the second in line to the throne after his father, Crown Prince Frederik. His official title is Prince Christian of Denmark, Count of Monpezat. His birth was commemorated by firing of 21-gun salutes, flying of the Danish flag on public buses and lighting of bonfires nationwide after sunset.
Family Life
His father and mother, Crown Princess Mary (born Mary Donaldson), tied the knot in May 2004, after almost four years of dating. The crown princess originally had Australian and British citizenship. Prince Christian has three younger siblings: Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine. His grandmother is Queen Margrethe II, the Queen of Denmark.
Facts
He is the first Danish royal family member to be enrolled in a public state school as well as the first to go to nursery school.
