Austin Richard Post, known by the stage name, Post Malone is an American rapper, singer-songwriter and producer best known for merging a variety of genres including hip-hop, rock, pop, folk and trap music, with his reflective writing style and terse vocals.
He was first noticed after releasing his 2015 debut single, White Iverson, which subsequently won him a record deal with Republic Records.
Family Life
His father, Rich Post was a DJ and later a business manager for Dallas Cowboys. He dated Ashlen Diaz from 2015 to 2018.
Achievements
His first commercial success was his 2016 debut album Stoney, which broke the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart records in 2018.
Beerbongs & Bentleys (2018), his second album, peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 and received several nominations at the 61st Grammy Awards, including “Record of the Year” and “Album of the Year”.
As of 2019, the singer has sold more than 65 million records in the United States alone, and earned a Diamond certification by the RIAA for the single, Congratulations.
Trivia
Post was involved in a car accident with his Rolls-Royce on September 8, 2018.
He has inked several tattoos on himself including the words, “Always” and “Tired” underneath both eyes and “Stay Away” above his right eyebrow.
