About PJ Harvey
PJ Harvey is an English singer-songwriter, guitarist and poet who began her musical career as the vocalist of the band Automatic Dlamini. She later went on to form an eponymous trio and released her debut studio album Dry in 1992. After the demise of the band, she began a successful solo career releasing a number of albums, most notably her 1995 proper debut solo album titled To Bring You My Love, which attained international acclaim.
Personal Life
She was born to Eva and Ray Harvey. She grew up with an older brother named Saul. She never mothered children of her own.
Achievements
For her remarkable services to music, she was awarded an MBE – Member of the Order of the British Empire in 2013 by Queen Elizabeth II.
Rolling Stone magazine included her 1995 album To Bring You My Love in their original 2003 list ofThe 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
