About Pinky Lee
Pinky Lee was the stage name of American television host and comedian, Pincus Leff. He began his showbiz career in the 1920s in vaudeville, performing tap dances.
He also mastered the burlesque style of comedy shows on stage before crossing over to television with his act.
“The Pinky Lee Show”, which he was known best for, was initially a variety show, which aired in 1950 before it was transformed into a children’s show in 1954.
Family Life
He was married to Bebe Dancis Lee and had two children. He was the brother-in-law of songwriter Al Sherman and the uncle of the songwriting duo, the Sherman Brothers.

He was cast in the feature films “Lady of Burlesque” as Mandy, “Blonde Ransom” as Pinky Lee and “Earl Carroll Vanities” as Pinky Price.
Death
He died on 3 April 1993 aged 85.
