Peter Singer is an Australian ethical philosopher famous for his work in applied ethics as well as for his 1975 book Animal Liberation, which is widely regarded as his most influential work. The book not only played an instrumental role in shedding light on the rights of animals but it also changed how people perceived animals.
Personal Life
In 1968, he and writer Renata Singer tied the knot. The marriage produced three children.

He supports abortion with the argument that a fetus has no personhood.
According to him killing a newborn baby should never be seen as the same as killing a person since newborn babies do not have some of the vital characteristics of personhood, including self-consciousness.
