About Peter Max
He is a German-American artist who is uniquely known for his colorful works. He was born Peter Finkelstein. His works are mostly centered on pop art or psychedelic art.
In 1962, he alongside Tom Daly started an arts studio in Manhattan called "The Daly & Max Studio". They soon began working with mentor, Don Rubbo. The group went ahead to work on various books and commercials earning them the admiration of many in the art industry and beyond.
Family Life
He was born to father, Jacob Finkelstein and mother, Sala Finkelstein. He was romantically involved with American model and singer, Rosie Vela and American actress, Tina Louise. He got married to Elizabeth Ann in 1963 and they both separated in 1976. He got married to Mary Max in 1997 and they both stayed married until her death in 2019. His children are Adam and Libra Max.
