About Peter Lawford
Peter Lawford was a British-born American actor known for being a member of a group of actors called the “Rat Pack”. Throughout his career, he starred in a number of popular films such as 1947's It Happened in Brooklyn, 1960's Ocean's 11 and 1970's One More Time. On television, he was known for starring in such series as Dear Phoebe and The Thin Man. Away from his acting career, he was also known for being the brother-in-law of the 35th President of the United States John F. Kennedy.
Personal Life
He was married four times. His first marriage was in 1954 to Patricia Helen Kennedy, the sister of John F. Kennedy. The marriage produced four children, including renowned author and actor Christopher Lawford. In addition to his numerous marriages, he was also romantically linked to several famous women, including Annex Baxter and June Allyson.
Trivia
He became a citizen of the United States in 1960 so he could vote for his brother-in-law John F. Kennedy during the United States presidential election of 1960.
Besides English, he was fluent in Italian, Spanish and French.
