Singer, songwriter and bassist, Peter Cetera is popularly acknowledged for his exploits as a member of the American rock band, "Chicago" before starting off his single career.
As of July of 2020, his general musical career brags of 17 albums. He boasts of having recorded at least six Top 40 singles and at least two have made their way to the number one spot on Billboard's Hot 100 – "The Next Time I Fall" and "Glory of Love".

His dad was a machinist. His siblings are Tim, Margaret, Mary, James, and fellow musician, Kenny Cetera. He was in a brief marriage with Janice Sheely between 1968 and 1973. He married Diane Nini in 1982 and they both separated in 1991. His children are Senna and actress, Claire Cetera.
Achievements
He was inducted into the "Songwriters Hall of Fame" in 2017.
At the ASCAP Pop Music Awards, he earned the "ASCAP's Most Performed Songs" in 1984, 1986, 1994, and "Most Performed Songs from Motion Pictures" in 1987.
He won the "Best New Artist" award at the American Video Award and was nominated for the "Best Original Song" at the Golden Globe and Academy Award in 1987.
At the Grammy Awards, he was nominated for the "Best Vocal Arrangement for Two or More Voices" in 1984; "Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Male Artist" and "Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group" in 1987; "Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal" in 1997.
