Peter P. Montgomery Buttigieg is a renowned American politician who became the Democratic presidential candidate for the 2020 United States elections.
Family Life
He is the only child of his father, Joseph Buttigieg, a Notre Dame Professor and mother Jennifer Anne Buttigieg, a linguist. He married his partner Chasten Glezman in June 2018.
Achievements
He was awarded first prize in the 2000 edition of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum’s Profiles in Courage essay contest.
He was elected president of Harvard University’s Student Advisory Committee and given a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University.
He won the November 2011 election with 74%, making him the mayor of South Bend, Indiana.
