About Paul Anka
Paul Anka is a Canadian-born American singer, songwriter and actor globally famed for releasing hit songs such as Lonely Boy, Diana and Put Your Head on My Shoulder. He wrote Tom Jones' 1971 hit song She's a Lady. As an actor, he has appeared in a number of films and television series such as 1959's Girls Town and 1993's Ordinary Magic.
Personal Life
From 1963 to 2001, he was married to Anne de Zogheb, with whom he fathered five daughters. In 2010, he got married to his second wife Anna Åberg. He and Anna had a son together before divorcing in 2010.
Trivia
He gained his U.S. citizenship in 1990.
His hit song Lonely Boy was written in memory of his late mother.
He received his induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and Canada's Walk of Fame in 1993 and 2005 respectively.
