About Patti Davis
Patti Davis was already a national celebrity before starting her career in the American entertainment industry. A member of the United States’ former first family, Davis began her career as an actress. She was used in many television series such as “Fantasy Island” and “The Love Boat”.
After gaining some amount of fame, she turned her attention to writing and published a number of books. Her first notable work as a writer came in 1986 after publishing the novel entitled “Home Front”. Her articles have also been seen in publications such as Times Magazine, and The New York Times.
Family
She’s one of the children of Ronald Reagan, former U.S. President, and Nancy Reagan. Her siblings are Maureen Reagan, Michael Reagan, and Ron Reagan.
Between 1984 and 1990, she was married to Paul Grilley. Prior to that, she was in relationships with Bernie Leadon and Timothy Hutton.
Education
She attended the University of Southern California. Before that, she studied at Orme School of Arizona, The John Thomas Dye School, and Northwestern University.
Trivia
In order to start an independent career, she changed her surname to her mum’s previous name, Davis.
She was disowned by her mum when she went to live with Leadon at a time when they weren’t married.
