About Patrick Henry
Patrick Henry was an American lawyer, politician, war hero and orator remembered for being one of America's Founding Fathers as well as for his iconic phrase "Give me liberty, or give me death!" which he said during a famous speech he made in 1975 in Richmond, Virginia. He served as the Governor of Virginia on two occasions.
Family Life
He and Sarah Shelton got married in 1754. The marriage produced six children before Sarah died in 1775. Two years later, he and Dorothea Dandridge tied the knot. The marriage saw him father eleven more children.
Trivia
Despite the fact that he opposed slavery and hoped for its abolishment, he owned several dozens of slave during his lifetime.
