Pat Benatar is a Grammy Award-winning rock singer and songwriter who gained international stardom with songs such as Hit Me with Your Best Shot, Love is a Battlefield, We Belong and Promises in the Dark.
Career
Her musical career began after she caught the attention of record company representatives while performing at a nightclub in 1978. She signed a record deal shortly after and released her debut album In the Heat of the Night which gained her critical acclaim and established her career as a rock star.
Family Life
In 1972 she got married to her childhood sweetheart Dennis Benatar. She and Dennis divorced in 1979. Her second marriage was to guitarist Neil Giraldo in 1982. The marriage produced two daughters.
