About Paolo Maldini
Paolo Maldini is an Italian retired professional footballer famous for spending his entire 24-year professional career with A.C. Milan in the Serie A. He played for the Italy national football team from 1988 to 2002, during which he appeared in four FIFA World Cups and three UEFA European Championships. He is considered one of the finest defenders in football history.
Family Life
He is the son of Maria Luisa De Mezzi and the famous Italian footballer Cesare Maldini. In 1994, he and former model Adriana Fossa tied the knot. The pair had their first child, Christian, in 1996. Their second child, Daniel, was born in 2001.
Achievements
In 1999, World Soccer placed him at the 21st position on their list of the 100 greatest footballers of the 20th century. In 2004, FIFA also included him in their list of the 100 greatest living footballers in the world. In 2012, he received his induction into the Italian Football Hall of Fame.
