About Óscar Romero
Óscar Romero was a prominent El Salvadorian priest of the Roman Catholic Church remembered for being the Archbishop of San Salvador from 1977 until his assassination in 1980. Prior to his appointment as Archbishop of San Salvador, he held a number of posts, including Auxiliary Bishop of San Salvador and Bishop of Santiago de María. In 2015, he was beatified by Pope Francis.
