Career
She began singing in church at a young age. She studied music at the University of North Texas and sang with the UNT Jazz Singers before launching her solo music career in 2002 and releasing her critically acclaimed and commercially successful debut album.
Family Life
She is the daughter of Sue Jones and legendary Indian composer and sitar player Ravi Shankar. She gave birth to her first child in February 2014. Two years later, she gave birth to her second child.
Between 2000 and 2007 Norah dated American bassist and record producer, Lee Alexander.
Trivia
In school, Norah was very active in her school’s choir.
She is noted for her ability in playing a variety of musical instruments such as the piano and the alto saxophone.
