Czar Nicholas II along with his wife, 4 daughters, son, and several family servants were corralled and murdered together by rifles and bayonets the night of July 16th 1918 by the Bolsheviks.
The mystery surrounding the murders and if there were any survivors, specifically Anastasia has been the subject of dozens of books and even a Disney film “Anastasia”. There was a woman by the name of Anna Anderson that claimed she was the lost Princess but after her death and DNA analysis she was proved to be a fraud.

Czar Nicholas II and his cousin, King George V, were nearly identical. If put side-by-side, it would be nearly impossible to tell who was who. Czar Nicholas II spent lavish amounts on his family, including Fabrege eggs that were coated in gemstones and gold, jewelry, and fine clothes.
