About Neal Stephenson
Neal Town Stephenson is the full name of one of America's best speculative fiction writers. Stephenson's writings can be categorized mainly as science fiction, baroque, cyberpunk, historical fiction, and post cyberpunk styles. However, although he is a great fiction writer, he has written non-fiction works like "Wired," which were very successful.

Career
Stephenson had his breakthrough in writing in 1992 when he published his novel, "Snow Crash." The novel focused on computer viruses, memetics, and other technological themes. It also provided insight into Sumerian mythology and laissez-faire capitalism. In 1999, his book, Cryptonomicon, earned him a Prometheus Hall of Fame Award. In addition, he has written over 50 novels and non-fiction articles.
He has worked as a part-time advisor for Jeff Bezos' spacecraft company, "Blue Origin." In addition, Stephenson is the co-founder of the interactive fiction company "Subutai."
Trivia
At Boston University, Stephenson switched from specializing in physics to geography. He took this decision because Boston gave more time to geography students in the university's mainframe.
