About Neal Schon
Neal George Joseph Schon had an edge over other aspiring musicians while growing up as a result of his father’s experience as a big band performer. The latter taught him how to play all reed instruments and by 17 years old, he had joined the rock band named Santana. He also performed with the Latin rock group Azteca before co-establishing Journey with Gregg Rolie in 1973. The guitarist, vocalist and songwriter has also performed as a member of the super group, Bad English and the hard rock collective, Hardline as an original member.
Family Life
He was born to Barbara and Matthew Schon. In 2013, he married his fifth wife, Michaele Salahi, a television personality and former model.
Achievements
He became an inductee of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017 and the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 2013.
Trivia
His solo albums include “Electric World”, “Beyond the Thunder” and “Late Nite”.
