Naomi Osaka is a Japanese professional tennis player, who has had a massively successful tennis career and is recognized as the first Asian to be ranked number 1 in the Australian Open singles, by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA).
Family Life
Her father, Leonard Francois is Haitian, while her mother, Tamaki Osaka is Japanese. Her sister, Mari Osaka is also a well-known professional tennis player.
There have been speculations of a relationship between the tennis player and American rapper, YBN Cordae.
Achievements
She was awarded “Newcomer of the Year” during the 2016 WTA Awards and went on to win the Indian Wells Masters in California in March 2018.
In 2018, she won her first Grand Slam US Open after defeating her role model and former World’s no. 1, Serena Williams.
