About Naomi Klein
Naomi Klein is a Canadian author, journalist, social activist, professor and author. She first garnered international recognition as the author of “No Logo” (1999), a book that attacks large corporations’ operations. She has since become known for her activism on causes such as ecofeminism, left wing politics and organized labor. She has also criticized capitalism, corporate globalization, and fascism. She was appointed as the University of British Columbia’s Professor of Climate Justice in September 2021. Her other critically-acclaimed works are “The Shock Doctrine” and “This Changes Everything”.
Family Life
She is the daughter of physician Michael Klein and feminist filmmaker Bonnie Sherr Klein. She has been married to filmmaker and journalist Avi Lewis. They have one son together.
Achievements
She has received the Sydney Peace Prize, Hilary Weston Writers’ Trust Prize and Warwick Prize for Writing.
Trivia
She collaborated with her husband on the 2004 documentary, “The Take”.
