About Nana Mouskouri
Nana Mouskouri is a legendary Greek singer famed internationally for releasing numerous hits such as The White Rose of Athens, A Place in My Heart and Only Love. Throughout her career, she has released more than 200 albums and singles in a number of languages, including English, Greek and German. In addition to being Greece’s most famous singer, she is also one of the world’s most successful artists.
Personal Life
In 1961, she got married to her first husband guitarist Yorgos Petsilas. She and Yorgos had two children together before getting divorced in 1975. She got married to her second husband sound technician André Chapelle in 2003.
Trivia
She served as a Member of the European Parliament from 1994 to 1999.
In 2010, she surprised many by offering to donate her European Parliament pension to help her country Greece battle its crippling economic crisis.
