About Namie Amuro
Namie Amuro is a celebrated Japanese singer, model and actress who began her musical career with the Japanese pop group Super Monkey's in the early 1990s. She began an enormously successful solo career after the group disbanded in 1995 and released several number-one hits such as Can You Celebrate?, A Walk in the Park, Wild, Chase the Chance and Dreaming I Was Dreaming. As a result of her enormous success in the music industry, she is often referred to as the "Japanese Madonna".
Personal Life
In 1997, she got married to dancer Masaharu "Sam" Maruyama of TRF fame. She bore Masaharu a child named Haruto before their divorce in 2002.
