Molly Shannon is an American actress whose notable film credits include Mary Katherine Gallagher in 1999's Superstar and Peggy Spade in 2007's Year of the Dog. On television, some of her notable works include voicing the character Tina Hellman on TBS' animated sitcom Neighbors from Hell and portraying the character Kath on the comedy series Kath & Kim.

She was born to Mary Margaret and James Francis Shannon. She married artist Fritz Chestnut in 2004 and bore him two children.
