About Mikel Arteta
Mikel Arteta is a sensational Spanish professional football coach. He is noted to be a former footballer who used to play primarily in the midfield position. Some few clubs which he's known to have played include; Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain (loan), Rangers, Everton and Arsenal. During his time in Barcelona, he was represented as a youth player and was not featured on the first team. He had his senior debut in 2001 when he went on loan to Paris Saint-Germain. He moved to few clubs from PSG before finally moving to Arsenal in 2011, where he eventually retired in 2016.
Arteta launched off his coaching career with Manchester City, where he played the role of an assistant head coach to Pep Guardiola.
He moved over to Arsenal in 2019, where he began as the club's head coach.
Family Life
He got married to Argentine-Spanish actress, model and TV host, Lorena Bernal in 2010. His children include; Gabriel, Oliver and Daniel.
Achievements
He won the UEFA Intertoto Cup with PSG in 2001.
He also won the Scottish Premier League with Rangers in 2002.
He was awarded the "Scottish Premier League Young Player of the Month" in September of 2002 and August of 2003.
He won the "Everton Player of the Season" in 2005 - 2006, 2006 - 2007.
As a player, Arteta helped his Arsenal team win the FA Cup in the 2013 - 2014 and 2014 – 2015 seasons.
Trivia
He speaks about six different languages which include; English, Spanish, Portuguese and Catalan.
