Michael Jeter was an American actor remembered for his starring roles in such films as 1991's The Fisher King, 1999's The Green Mile and 2001's Jurassic Park III. His notable television characters include Peter Lebeck from the drama series Picket Fences and Herman Stiles from CBS's TV sitcom Evening Shade, for which he won an Emmy Award.
Personal LifeHe was born to Virginia and William Claud Jeter. He grew up with a brother and four sisters. He was open about his homosexuality and was in a relationship with Sean Blue from 1995 until his death in 2003.
