About Michael Irvin
Nicknamed “the Playmaker” for his ability to make big plays during big games, retired American footballer Michael Irvin spent 12 seasons in the National Football League. In the 1988 NFL draft, he was selected as the 11th overall pick by the Dallas Cowboys, with which he would spend his entire time in the league. He retired in 1999 as a result of a spinal cord injury. He was also one of “The Triplets”, a renowned trio of the Dallas Cowboys who helped the team win three Super Bowls.
Family Life
He grew up as the 15th of 17 siblings in Florida. In 1990, he married a woman named Sandy Harrell.
Achievements
He played in five Pro Bowl games and won three Super Bowl championships. He is an inductee of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
