Merlin Santana was an actor and rapper. He was three years old when he started modelling. In 1991, he debuted as an actor in two episodes of “Major Dad” as Marvin, which he followed up with an appearance in “Law & Order”.
He is remembered for playing the characters of Stanley in “The Cosby Show” and Marcus Dixon in “Getting By”.

His parents were Dominican Republic nationals. They encouraged him to pursue a career in entertainment in order to help him stay off the streets.
Death
He died on the spot after a bullet fired by Damien Gates hit him in the head while he was in a car – this unfortunate incident occurred on November 9, 2002. He was buried 9 days later at St. Raymond’s Cemetery located in The Bronx, New York. Gates was sentenced to life in prison in 2003.
