About Max Cavalera
As a way of making money to support the family, Max Cavalera, alongside his brother Igor, established a band called Sepultura in 1984. During the early years of the band, Max performed as the group’s guitarist and songwriter. He played key roles in the production of the group’s first five albums which include “Schizophrenia”.
He has also performed with other renowned groups such as Killer Be Killed, Soulfly, and Cavalera Conspiracy.
Collaborations
Due his talent, the Brazilian musician has also worked with other renowned artistes including Jello Biafra, Fred Durst, and Tom Araya.
Family
He lost his dad, Graziano Cavalera, at the age of nine and was raised by his mum called Vânia, who worked as a model. He has five children with a lady called Gloria. One of their children is drummer Zyon Cavalera.
Trivia
Growing up, he looked up to bands and artistes like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Ozzy Osbourne.
In 2009, he was featured in the video game entitled “Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned”.
