Background
Hoopes co-founded the above-named band with his friends Matt Thiessen and Brian Pittman in their junior year while in Canton McKinley High School. He did not want to sing in the band as he thought he did not have the voice for it.
Career
Hoopes wrote some of the songs for the band. This includes songs like “Don't Blink”, “You'll Always Be My Best Friend”, and “My Girlfriend”. The band soon began to tour all across the United States and Thiessen encouraged Hoopes to sing and he became the lead backup vocalist.

Hoopes is very active on social media and engages his more than 20,000 Instagram followers where he announced his marriage to Laura in 2017.
