Career
She was in “Time Remembered” and that was her first play in London in 1954. She was in “Hamlet” in 1955 and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in 1959. She featured in “Old Times” in 1971 and “The Exorcism” in 1975.
Personal life
The actress, in 1957, got married to John Osborne, a married man she was seeing. They had a child four years later, their marriage lasted for six years. He had not stopped having affairs even when he was married to her and in 1959, she also started having an affair with Robert Shaw. She married Shaw in 1963, the same year she got divorced from Osborne and they had three children.
Death
She had a mental health issue and was addicted to alcohol. This was during the 1970’s. She was to act in the adaptation of the play “The Exorcism” and a few hours after the success of the event, she was found dead by her husband, overdosed on barbiturates and alcohol.
