About Mark Moses
Mark Moses is an American actor who has featured in many films and TV series. He played the character of US President George W. Bush in the 2022 Television series “The First Lady”. However, what he is most known for was the role of Paul Young in the TV series “Desperate Housewives”.
Early Life and Education
He completed Evanston Township High School and enrolled to read English at Ithaca College but later dropped out. Later, he graduated with a degree in theater at New York University.
Desperate Housewives and other career highlights
Mark started his acting career in 1983 when he featured in “One Life to Live”, an ABC soap opera. He also made appearances in Broadway’s 1983 play “The Slab Boys Trilogy”, which starred Sean Penn, Val Kilmer, and Kevin Bacon.
Since 1986, Mark has played major characters in over twenty five films such as ‘’Deep Impact”, “Big Momma’s House 2” and “Bombshell”. In the latter, which was directed by Jay Roach, he starred alongside Nicole Kidman, Connie Britton, and Margot Robbie.
A look at his filmography reveals he has been active in at least one series each year 1985. He played Dennis Boyed in “Homeland” series, and Erick Clarkson in “The Killing”.
He also played Paul Young in the popular “Desperate Housewives” and the character of President Jeffrey in the series, “The Last Ship”.
In “Deep Impact” and “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World”, Mark played the character of a news anchor who described the pending effect of a comet that would destroy life on earth.
Awards and Nominations
He received two awards from Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2005 and 2006.
Besides, he was nominated for Best Actor-Gold Award 2015; Ensemble of the Year-Gold Derby TV Awards 2006 and 2009; and Screen Actors Guild Award in 2015.
"Mad Men"
His appearances in 21 episodes of the American drama “Mad Men” helped win him the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. The series, which ran from 2007 to 2015, was created by American TV writer and director Matthew Hoffman Weiner.
Trivia
While in high school, he was a quarterback for the school’s football team.
