Marianne Williamson is a renowned American author known for her numerous bestselling books like “A Woman's Worth”, “A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles” and “A Politics of Love: A Handbook for a New American Revolution”.

Williamson has not only gained fame as an author, but also for her philanthropic works. In 1989, she established a non-profit organization called Project Angel Food which provides food to the vulnerable.
She’s also one of the founders of the peace building organization known as Peace Alliance. Most of her works are focused on self-improvement and spirituality.
This American celebrity is also a well-known politician. In 2014, she contested for a spot in the U.S. House of Representatives but lost. Five years later, she announced her intention to lead the Democratic Party into the 2020 elections but withdrew from the contest and threw her weight behind Bernie Sander.

Her father Samuel "Sam" Williamson served in the U.S. military, while her mum Sophie Ann Kaplan was a homemaker. She grew up together with two siblings, Elizabeth and Peter.
She had her first child, India Emmaline, in 1990.

She graduated from Bellaire High School before starting her education at California’s Pomona College. She has also studied at the University of New Mexico, and the University of Texas.
