About Marcello Lippi
Marcello Lippi is a legend of professional soccer who hails from Italy. After hanging his boots he ventured into coaching and is generally acknowledged as one of the most successful and greatest managers in the world.
From 2004 to 2006, he was the head coach of Italy's national football team, guiding them to success at the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He took charge of the Chinese national team in 2019.
Having a strong passion for the game during his early years, he played football for teams such as Pistoiese and Lucchese before retiring from active playing to pursue a coaching career. He began his coaching career with many Italian youth teams, including Siena and Cesena, before moving on to coach several professional and successful football clubs such as Napoli, Juventus, Internazionale, and Atalanta.
