Background
Hill was born in Philadelphia where he attended Carver High School. He bagged his degree in education and sports from Temple University and eventually went to the University of Pennsylvania for his masters and P.hD.
Career
Hill started his career at his alma mater Temple University as a professor in urban studies in 2005. He also worked with Teachers College, Columbia University, and Fox News Channel.
He was also a commentator on CNN but was fired in 2018 for his speech at the United Nations about the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, which was perceived as antisemitic.
Hill started his activism in 2001 when he created awareness for adult literacy and has been outspoken about drugs plaguing black communities.
With more than 360,000 Instagram followers, he has established a solid presence on social media. Hill became the host of Al Jazeera’s “Upfront” in January 2021.
Personal Life
In April 2022, Hill welcomed his son with his partner Melissa M. Valle.
