Marc Jacobs is a famous American fashion designer.
Career
While working at the clothing store Charivari when he was 15, Marc Jacobs began creating his own line of hand-knit clothing. He made his first line of clothing under the Marc Jacobs label in 1986. Around this time, Jacobs became the youngest person to earn a Council of Fashion Designers of America's Perry Ellis award for New Fashion Talent. Jacobs and his partner Robert Duffy became president and vice president in women's design in 1988. He later launched his second label called Marc by Marc Jacobs in the year of 2001.
