Marc Bartra is a Spanish professional soccer player who plays in the center-back position.
Club career
He joined Espanyol at 9 years old in 2000 and two years later, he was signed by Barcelona’s youth academy. He made his senior club debut in 2009 with the Barcelona B team and eventually got into the first team the following year. From 2016 to 2018, he played for Borussia Dortmund. He moved to Betis in 2018.
International career
He received a call-up to the Spain national team in 2013. He also played for his country’s U18, U19, U20 and U21 teams.
Family Life
He has a fraternal twin brother named Eric. He has been in a relationship with Melissa Jimenez, a journalist who began working for the Grand Prix racing since 2014. In 2015, they had their first child, a daughter together.
Achievements
He was included in the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship Team of the Tournament and the UEFA La Liga Team of the 2017/18 Season.
Trivia
He broke his arm following a bomb attack on the team bus of Borussia Dortmund.
