She was born to English producer Cameron McVey and Swedish musician Neneh Cherry. Her grandfather, Don Cherry is a famous jazz trumpeter in America, while her step-brother, Marlon Roudette is the former Mattafix singer. She also grew up with two sisters, Naima Karlsson and Tyson McVey.
