Between 1954 and 1965, Rukeyser was employed by The Baltimore Sun newspaper as a reporter for political and foreign news
He began the popular Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) series "Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser" in 1970, the show aired for 32 years and achieved heightened success during the mid-1980s. Rukeyser performed a cameo role in the 1988 film "Big Business", starring alongside Midler and Lily Tomlin.
Honors
He won the Gerald Loeb Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004 and the 1973 Gerald Loeb Award for excellence in financial journalism for “Wall Street Week”.
