About LiSA
LiSA is the stage name of Japanese singer, songwriter and lyricist, Risa Oribe. She got her start as a performer in 2005, while she was still in junior high school, by forming the indie band, Chucky. The group disbanded in 2008 and she relocated to Tokyo in hopes of advancing her career. She first came to widespread attention in Tokyo as a vocalist of a fictional band, Girls Dead Monster featured in the anime, “Angel Beats!” in 2010. In 2012, she released her debut solo album, “Lover”s”mile”. She has scored hits with singles such as “Gurenge”, “Akeboshi” and “Homura”.
Family Life
She married Japanese voice actor Tatsuhisa Suzuki in 2020.
Achievements
Awards won by her include a Newtype Anime Award, Japan Gold Disc Award, the Japan Record Awards and a JASRAC Award.
